The life in Eichler home is all about clean lines, open spaces and large windows that allow the light inside but there is one problem with such architectural masterpieces: heating and cooling efficiency. Their initial system was not able to cope with the changes in temperature in California and the installation of the conventional ductwork would not have been possible without sacrificing the design of the home. In order to address these limitations, our team created and mounted a Mitsubishi ductless multi-zone heat pump system. This design enabled personalized comfort in various rooms without any ducts being required. All the indoor units were placed high on the wall and they fitted perfectly into the modern interior of the home. The outdoor condenser was linked to the indoor units through narrow refrigerant lines which we quietly installed through the available spaces on the walls so as to preserve the structural integrity of the home.
The process of installation had to be accurate. Our technicians did a careful load calculation in order to provide each zone with the appropriate capacity. After the location was completed, we mounted the high-wall units in the living room, bedrooms and others rooms. The variable-speed inverter technology of the Mitsubishi system allows the automatic regulation of power according to the demand- level of energy consumption remains low and comfort is maintained.
